This sensor was designed to measure the position of a shift fork inside the gearbox of a construction vehicle. A combination of three sensors is deployed on each transmission to detect the selection of up to five gears.

The sensor utilises the same inductive technology as found in the standard 25mm Blade Sensor, offered by Gill Sensors, but in an application specific custom designed package. The all-important metallic activator can be designed into the shift fork removing the need for any mechanical fixings of the activator.

This sensor is supplied factory calibrated eliminating the need for any sensor setup on the vehicle assembly line.
