Designed to provide precision cost effective position sensing, this sensor employs the patented inductive technology as used in the Gill Sensors range of 'Blade' sensors. Developed to sense ±25m of linear motion in a familiar package, this is the ideal solution for applications where the limited dither life of a standard linear potentiometer is unsuitable.

The sensor is fully non-contact - there is no physical contact between the sensor and the moving rod (attached to the part to be sensed). This ensures that the sensor will not wear out over time - a drawback with most other types of position sensor. This sensor is fully electronic with on-board processing providing extensive configuration via the software provided.

The Custom 50mm Linear Position Sensor was developed as a proof of concept to demonstrate the capabilities of our inductive technology.
