System Prototyping

We have the ability to take new enquiries rapidly through initial feasibility study and proof of concept modelling to complete system prototyping. Our considerable system prototyping experience allows us to produce prototypes that use existing system blocks, off the shelf hardware, evaluation systems or IP.

Typical System Prototyping Design Phases

At Gill, system prototyping often involves a number of tasks:

  • Evaluation of customer enquiry, feasibility study, risk analysis and breakdown into tasks
  • Defining project milestones and program 'roadmap'
  • Capture of early requirements using system block diagrams, Solidworks, UML 2.0, Use Case and Activity diagrams
  • Proof of concept model solutions using Matlab, Python, 'off the shelf' hardware solutions, Solidworks, Cosmos
  • Generation of designs using UML 2.0 lower level diagrams, Solidworks (eDrawings)
  • Rapid system development
